Temporary Dependent Care [1]

Definition: Temporary dependent care costs refer to expenses incurred beyond regular dependent care costs while an individual is in travel status.

University of Iowa Travel Policy: As per the current policy, the University of Iowa does not recognize temporary dependent care as an allowable expense. Consequently, such costs related to travel on externally sponsored agreements are also deemed unallowable.
