The Office of the Vice President for Research and the Office of the Senior Vice President for Finance and Operations are pleased to announce two new awards to recognize research staff at The University of Iowa.

• Distinguished Research Administrators
  Support research by exploring funding opportunities, assisting in grant proposal preparation, submission, post-award administration and operational support.
• Distinguished Research Support Professionals
  Provide support for research by conducting experiments, collecting and analyzing results and performing operational duties associated with a laboratory or research program.

Nominations must be received no later than Friday, March 29, 2013.  Nomination materials and criteria are available at http://ovproperations.research.uiowa.edu/awards-and-recognition-information [2].  Winners will receive $500, to be allocated to the employees’ department for professional development.  If you have questions about the awards, please contact Cheryl Reardon (cheryl-reardon@uiowa.edu [3]).
