Educational Opportunity for Research Administrators [1]

The Division of Sponsored Programs (DSP) and the Grant Accounting Office (GAO) invite you to an upcoming educational opportunity on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 from 8:30 am - noon. During the session, we will view a video workshop presented by the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) entitled “It Takes a Village to Manage Awards: Post-Award Issues for Pre-Award Research Administrators & Departmental Administrators”.

This program will look at compliance issues related to proposal preparation, submission processes, award negotiation and acceptance, project management and closeout. Specific emphasis is placed on interdepartmental communication, budget/budget justification development, cost transfers, and cost sharing.

If you haven’t already attended an educational session on award compliance principles, it will be particularly helpful. If you have already attended a session on the topic, it will be a good refresher. Please see the attachment for a course description, schedule and registration instructions.
