Starting on Monday, January 14th, electronic versions of the grant financial reports will be available through Employee Self Service/Electronic Financial Reports (EFR). The availability of the reports in the EFR Grant Report inbox will be based on various roles that have been established. An email notification will be distributed next week to all individuals with an established role alerting them to the availability of these reports.
The final distribution of hard copy grant financial statements (FMS, SGRE, and TDS) will occur in early February after the close of January accounting. After this time, the monthly reports will only be available as the electronic version. A Grant Reports User Manual is now available to assist with the use of the electronic reports.
Distribution of the electronic grant reports will be driven by the WhoKey Administration application. Along with the current roles of Owner/PI, Reviewer and Secondary Reviewers, new grant roles have been created and will be populated as appropriate for Fund 500 and 510 accounts. The new roles are:
- Co-Investigator – the individual, Co-I, who has been assigned financial responsibility for a portion of the externally sponsored project
- PI Dept Research Admin - the Departmental (or SubDepartment if applicable) Research Administrator who provides administrative support for the Owner/PI
- Co-Investigator Dept Research Admin – the Departmental (or SubDepartment if applicable) Research Administrator who provides administrative support for the Co-Investigator
- Alternate Research Admin - the alternate Research Administrator
Please refer to the Grant Reports Distribution – Role Definition for a recap of how the roles are assigned.
Another session has been scheduled to demonstrate the electronic grant reports. The time and location is as follows:
Wednesday, January 23, 9:30-10:30, S401 PBB
